My first trip to Mt. Rainier found much leftover snow from the late May storms of 2008. Parking at the Paradise visitors center, we proceeded to traverse the Nisqually Glacier and settle just below Panorama Point. We were at about 6,800 feet and almost halfway up the 14,000 foot peak. This particular day, a cloud spun around the peak of Mt. Rainier the entire day. The spinning cloud took on the form of a hat, a spoked wheel and various other shapes. We ended the day's trip with a short stop at Reflection Lake where the multi-colored snow was still covering good amounts of the water. If any of these images interest you, please Visit Our Store.
